In the December 09 Budget the Minister for Finance announced the introduction of a carbon tax. This carbon tax will be payable by all natural gas users from 1 May 2010. The calculator below will help you to estimate the impact of the carbon tax on your gas bills. You will need a recent bill to hand.

Please note that VAT at a rate of 13.5% will be charged on the carbon tax, unless your company is exempt from paying VAT. VAT has not been included in the calculation above.
